A Message from our performers

Ko Nina Noble toku ingoa,

This year I’m most excited about our ferocious own choice selection and the fantastic soloists featured within the band. We have a great sense of community within WBB, and it really does feel like going up on stage with your own family. The band has put a lot of work into our repertoire this year, and I can’t wait to share it with our audience.

Please join us at our concert- Exhibition, this Sunday 7 July at 2.00pm at Te Whaea in Newtown

My name is Cameron Brizzle, a percussionist for Wellington Brass Band.

This is my first contest with WBB, and the opportunity to perform at an A Grade level is what I am most excited about!

Our Own choice selection provides a real technical challenge for the percussion section, and I’m honoured to play a solo, alongside such amazing and talented brass.

As well as working hard to prepare the music for contest, there has also been a significant amount of fundraising work happening to help with the costs of getting the band to nationals. I want to personally thank the band committee, as well as our loyal supporters for the work that has gone in to get the band to the contest in Manukau

You can support us by making a tax-deductible donation or by sponsoring my seat.
