Brass Learning

Ensemble

Our programme is directed by our highly accomplished principal euphonium, Byron ‘Buzz’ Newton. The band is an inclusive ensemble for new brass and percussion players with any level of experience, from beginners up.

We have developed a structured musical pathway of both performance and music theory to encourage and the develop enthusiasm of new musicians - youth and adult.

We can help with providing an instrument along with personal tuition.

Wellington Brass education programmes work to engage and inspire at the earliest introduction to music.

It is designed to further enhance skills learnt in lessons, putting them into practice in an large ensemble setting. Importance is placed on: tuning, rhythm, counting, sound production, social skills, and team building.
